The Colors and Stones of Pisaq
In the morning, your private driver and guide will meet you at your hotel to embark on a scenic drive into the Sacred Valley. Our first stop is Pisaq, where you will explore the region's most famous traditional market. Villagers from surrounding highlands bring their produce and meticulously crafted textiles here, making it the perfect place to find authentic souvenirs.
Afterward, we ascend to the archaeological complex of Pisaq. Built in a highly strategic position overlooking the gorge, this site served religious, military, and agricultural purposes. You will be afforded stunning panoramic views as you explore the Sun Temple, ancient water ducts, and sweeping agricultural terraces.
Immersion in the Amaru Community
Leaving the ruins behind, we journey to the high-altitude Andean community of Amaru. This is a rare opportunity to step away from the crowds and experience the daily life of a typical mountain village.
The welcoming locals will demonstrate how they masterfully weave traditional textiles—such as vibrant belts and blankets—using natural dyes and ancestral techniques. You will observe how they respect the earth while growing and harvesting their crops. To complete the immersion, you will be treated to a heartwarming, delicious lunch prepared by the community using the very products they harvest.
The Unconquered Fortress of Ollantaytambo
Filled with good food and beautiful memories, we head to Ollantaytambo. Known as one of the last Incan refuges during the Spanish colonization, this town is a living museum. You will walk through its original narrow cobblestone streets, lined with ancient adobe buildings and flowing water channels.
We will climb the powerful and impressive Ollantaytambo ruins. The sheer scale of the stone temples and terraces will leave you speechless, providing an incredible perspective on Incan urban design and engineering. Finally, your private transport will take you comfortably back to your hotel.
