1. Cusco Pick-Up & Scenic Train to Aguas Calientes
Your private driver picks you up right at your hotel in Cusco early in the morning for a comfortable 1.5-hour drive across the high plains of Chinchero and down into the Sacred Valley to the historic Ollantaytambo train station.
Boarding your selected panoramic train, you will embark on an unforgettable 1.5-hour rail journey along the banks of the Urubamba River. Watch the landscape transform dramatically as snow-capped Andean peaks give way to steep granite canyons, wild orchids, and the subtropical cloud forest of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo) at 2,040 meters.
2. Private Guided Tour of the Lost City of the Incas
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, your private guide meets you at the station to board the 25-minute Consettur shuttle bus up the zigzagging Hiram Bingham highway to the entrance gates of Machu Picchu (2,430 m / 7,972 ft).
Entering along the classic panoramic route, you will pause at the upper agricultural terraces near the Guardian’s House to capture the world-famous postcard view of the citadel framed by Huayna Picchu. Over the next 2 to 2.5 hours, your private historian will lead you through the dry-stone walls of the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Plaza, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Temple of the Condor, and the intricate network of spring-fed Inca water channels.
3. Aguas Calientes Town & Return Journey to Cusco

In the late afternoon, you will board your return train back through the Urubamba gorge to Ollantaytambo station, where our private driver will be waiting at the exit gate to bring you safely back to the door of your hotel in Cusco.
