We kick off the experience plunging into the vibrant daily life of Cusco at the famous San Pedro Market. Your chef will lead you through bustling aisles filled with giant breads, hundreds of potato varieties, medicinal herbs, and colorful textiles.
You will learn the history behind ancient Incan ingredients like quinoa, maca, and purple corn, and understand how these ancestral products are being reinvented in today's modern Peruvian gastronomy. It's a true feast for the eyes and a fantastic cultural introduction.
The Colonial Studio & Pisco Sour
Leaving the hustle and bustle of the market behind, we take a short stroll to our private, highly equipped cooking studio, beautifully situated inside a historic colonial house. The ambiance here allows you to literally step back in time.
Once you put on your apron, we start the hands-on fun with Peru's flagship cocktail. You will learn the perfect ratios and techniques to shake up an authentic, frothy Pisco Sour (non-alcoholic options are always available) to get the culinary creative juices flowing.
The 3-Course Culinary Masterclass
With a drink in hand, it's time to cook! For the next couple of hours, your chef will guide you step-by-step through the preparation of a stunning 3-course meal, blending traditional Andean flavors with modern Peruvian plating techniques.
